Baby and family photography in Maida Vale, London NW6 W9
As a London-based baby, children and family photographer I often travel to Maida Vale in North London to take family photographs. I was thrilled to meet Elke and her family, and spend a morning with them taking photographs that they will treasure for years to come.
It was a grey day and the weather looked threatening so we went outside first thing to make the best of the dry spell. We had a great time at the park, exploring the wooded areas and playing on the swings before a welcome break for tea and cake and then home for some lovely shots indoors.
We had a great time taking family and baby photographs in Maida Vale, London NW6 and W9, and I am thrilled with the results. I hope you enjoy them...

Beautiful fine art baby photography in Cambridge
I had such a wonderful morning taking beautiful fine art baby photographs for Fawzia and Simon. I was thrilled to be invited to their lovely home near Cambridge to spend a morning taking pictures and drinking very good coffee.
We played indoors with baby Amara, making use of the amazing mirror that Fawzia has hung in her hallway. We then took some beautiful shots with Amara on the bed, always a great place to photograph babies as they feel happy and safe, and can roll around and topple over without hurting themselves.
We finished the day's portrait session with a few shots in the garden that I absolutely love, and I hope you enjoy them too.

Baby photography in Oxford
When Natasha asked me to visit Oxford recently to photograph her family (as featured in the last blog post), I immediately thought of my dear friend Lucy. I like to start all my photo shoots very early in the morning - 8am being the norm, as children are at their best first thing. I was planning to jump on a scarily early train from London, but then I thought of Lucy who is now living in Oxford - a friend from my school days.
A phone call later and I was thrilled to have a bed for the night, and even more excited as this would give me an opportunity to meet Lucy's new baby daughter Ella, who I hadn't met yet. Ella was an absolute cutie and we had such a fun time playing in the front room and a short walk to the river. I'm so looking forward to seeing Ella grow up, and photographing her on many many more occasions. I love my job, and even on the days I'm not working I seem to find myself children to photograph - it's the best thing in the world, and a much cooler gift than a bottle of wine.

Baby photography in London
Today's blog post is from a recent photo session in London - it's that time of year when I put down roots at my parents' home in Blackheath as families enjoy the beautiful spring weather in London and arrange to have some family pictures taken.
I spent a lovely morning with Caroline and Lottie in Southfields - we went to the park to feed the ducks and also played at home. It was a really fun morning. I do hope you enjoy the pictures.

Bank Holiday Fun
I hope everyone has had a lovely bank holiday, Tom and I certainly did.
For what promises to be the only weekend off we have together over the summer (putting a portrait photographer and a wedding photographer together is terrible for your social life!), we spent a wonderful few days catching-up with friends, bimbling around the house doing random chores (it's only taken a year since moving in to paint those shelves), making mango chutney (okay, so that hasn't been put off for a year but we ran out of the last batch) and bottling our first batch of home brew. Lovely.
On Monday we got together with our good friends Lucy and Jerome and their son Ben, and headed off to Thetford for some mountain biking. Both Tom and I forgot to take a camera but I did take a couple of snaps when we got home in the evening. So here are a few pictures of Ben enjoying the playground behind the house in that all important twenty minute slot between turning the roast lamb down and adding the potatoes.
Bank holidays rock!
