Family portrait photography in Cambridge

20Feb

Having lived there for eight years, I am always thrilled to be invited back to Cambridge to capture some family pictures. It is one of my favourite places and I was delighted when Laura got in touch to ask if I would spend a morning with her family capturing some natural pictures of the children, and also some family portraits.

We had an amazing – if very cold – morning. It was freezing! We started at the beautiful St John’s College in Cambridge where Laura had arranged for us to take pictures. I’ve photographed weddings at St John’s before – back in the days when I used to photograph weddings – and it was lovely to visit again, and much more fun to take pictures of children running around! It is one of the most beautiful colleges in Cambridge and the Bridge of Sighs was a fabulous location for some shots.

Once we began to go blue with cold, we headed home for hot chocolate and some additional layers, and then headed out into the woods nearby to capture some more pictures as the children played. It was a wonderful way to spend a morning.

Here are some of my favourite pictures from our children’s and family photo shoot in Cambridge, I do hope you enjoy them.
