Family photography in Walton-on-Thames and Bushy Park, Richmond

21Jun

Today’s blog post features some more pictures from my shoot with Fiona and her wonderful family in Walton-on-Thames. I’ve been really looking forward to sharing this selection with you and I hope you will all enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Our family photo shoot coincided with one of the best days of weather we have had so far this year – the sun was shining, the grass was dry and the ducks were out in force. There is something about a beautiful day that really raises the spririts and I was so excited to be out with my camera.

Fiona met me at the staion and we headed straight to Bushy Park in Richmond-upon-Thames, which is somewhere that I had never visited before but somewhere I am very keen to go to again – it’s a fabulous location for children and family portrait photography. The kids were on great form too, so full of laughter and giggles through our initial group shots. I always like to take a few group shots at the beginning of a session as you never know what will happen on a children’s portrait photography session – which is all part of the fun!

We had a great time doing all my favorite things – tree climbing, balancing on logs, running, jumping and laughing. The children introduced me to some wonderful new games and I reminded them of some of my favourites too, all the while taking children and family portrait photographs in the beautiful grounds of Bushy Park.

As a children’s and family photographer, days like these are just wonderful – happy children, beautiful light, and lovely relaxed pictures. Here are some of my favourites from the day – I do hope you enjoy them.
