Headshot portrait photography in Crouch End, North London

01Oct

I first met Lucy back in 2009 when I was lucky enough to photograph Lucy and her young son at their home in Suffolk. It was a fantastic photo shoot and I have such fond memories of collecting apples in the beautiful orchard and hunting for strawberries in the polytunnel. We had an amazing morning and the pictures came out beautifully, so I was thrilled to hear from Lucy again to arrange a new shoot – although this time it was to arrange a headshot portrait session.

I love taking adult portraits and headshots – creating images for my clients to use for their websites, social media, within their jobs and for a myriad of other purposes. It’s so useful to have some really good portrait photographs that are to hand when asked to supply a picture to accompany an article, or when teaching a course, applying for a job or any other use. I’m finding I’m asked to do more and more of this type of work alongside my usual family and portrait photography, and I really enjoy it – I love to meet such interesting people and over the course of the couple of hours we spend taking pictures, I get to know people and chat about so many interesting topics.

For this headshot photo shoot, we visited my local stomping ground of Alexandra Palace Park which is a fantastic location for portrait photography. Jumping on the bus to the top of the hill, we were then able to walk slowly back down using all the different locations on the way – utilising great backdrops, interesting light, all my favourite spots – and I’m always on the look out for new places to take pictures, as I run in the park regularly.

I’m so thrilled to share these pictures of Lucy, a few favourites from the larger selection of images from our portrait and headshot photography session in Alexandra Palace Park in Crouch End, North London.
