So I am just settling down for an afternoon in the office and a big bunch of image processing, and in the first folder I opened I found these shots from a few weeks ago. Just a couple of quick sequences - Honor running through the woods which I just love and a couple of shots of the kids learning to ride their bikes. I have a really vivid memory of my dad teaching me to ride my bike by the bandstand in Greenwich park, holding onto the back and then letting go and running along beside me. It was lovely to watch my brother Richard doing the same with his children. I particularly liked the fact that Honor felt it necessary to accessories with flying goggles, the girl certainly has a sense of style!
To the park for todays children's portrait photography shoot in Kensington. We went out nice and early to beat the rush of small children enjoying the holidays and had a great time exploring, sitting on the fairy throne and riding our log spaceship to the moon.
Here are a few favorites from the day
Another shoot with returning clients for the blog today. I first met Sarah and Jim a few years ago to photograph Max when he was about a year old. Since then I have worked with most of the family - shoots with Sarah's sister and Jim's brother and their families and so it was lovely to go back and meet Rosa, Max's little sister who is full of character and an absolute scream.
We started in the morning while Max was at nursery to get a few shots of Rosa on her own and then when Max got home and we had had some lunch off to the park for some more family fun.
Here are some of my favorite images
Alison was one of my first ever clients back when I started my business about seven years ago. Our first shoot was in their basement flat in Marlyebone and I remember we played 'Finding Nemo' hiding under chairs from the barracuda (amazing how these things stay with you).
I was delighted to head to Birmingham for our fourth shoot. As always we had a wonderful time, the boys really are wonderful subjects for photographs, always so full of fun and laughter and also interesting games and hobbies. Funny to think that Alex was only just walking when I first met him and is now learning the French horn. Children grow up so fast and I feel so very privileged to be able to record it.
Here are a few favorite images from our shoot, I hope you like them.
It's been a quiet few days on the blog as I have been away in Filey in Yorkshire taking some family photographs (soon to be seen on here). Now I am back and have a bit of a blog backlog to catch up on.
First up, a shoot with Kate in Richmond. We had a lovely morning in the park, exploring, climbing in trees and hiding from dogs. Great fun and I am so thrilled with the pictures, here are a few favorites
