Finn and Belle
I have picked a shoot from my huge blog backlog today as there are so many wonderful pictures I haven't had a chance to blog, particularly in the crazy run up to Christmas. This was my third shoot with Finn and my second with Belle as I photograph them annually for their christmas card. They are such lovely children and I always have a wonderful time, this year was no exception and we spend brilliant morning playing in the garden. Here are a few favorite images
Fun at the frozen lake
The weather at the moment is beautiful, lots of amazingly clear bright days, but cold, oh so cold.
This was one of them - a lovely frost and a wonderful day but freezing so we started out in the garden to get a family shot, then, when we all needed warming up we headed indoors for some games and drawing before heading outside again and down to a nearby lake which was frozen at the edges and lots of fun The light was astonishing and the children were such fun to photograph. We had a lovely time, here are a few favorites from the day
Recent headshots
This time of year is always busy for headshots - the Spotlight directories close for publication soon and there always seems to be a lot of commercial work in the early months of the year as businesses revamp their websites and marketing materials.
These headshots are a selection from a recent shoot with the Cambridge branch of Charles Russell - I spent a morning shooting individual shots and some group combinations in an around their offices and the city centre. Here are some favorite individual shots and my favorite group shot, the frost was beautiful but oh so cold, the only time I have ever had to ask all my clients not to breath as I pressed the shutter!
Sunday at the beach with Tom
Tom and I have been down in Dorset this weekend and yesterday afternoon the weather was lovely so we went for a walk by the sea. As the sun began to set I decided we should take advantage of the spectacular cliffs for a few portraits. Here are a few of my favorite pictures

This shoot has all my favorite things - a wonderfully chirpy two year old, happy family, beautiful light and grandparents - I love shoots with grandparents!
We played indoors and outdoors building train sets and drawing buses. We played football and with the bears (am loving that bear shot). All in all it was a fabulous morning and I struggled not to put the entire shoot on the blog.
