Children's photography seminars at Calumet
The office will be closed from today until wednesday 11th March. I will not be answering email or the phone during this time. However, do leave me a message and I shall get back to you as soon as I return.
In the meantime I wanted to post a reminder about the Children's photography seminars that I will be doing when I get back.
The seminars are on seven dates over the next couple of months at Calumet stores around the UK. They are going to be great.
I shall be exploring the topics of
* Style
* Appproach
* Equipment
* Light
* Location shooting
* Different ages of children and what to expect
* Family shots
* Composition
* Marketing
and lots more...
I am really excited about the seminars and they are selling out fast.

Caroline's Family Photos
I had a lovely time photographing Caroline and her family recently. It was a cold day outside so we stayed in with the heating turned up and played in the lovely light conservatory - a photographers dream shooting space.
I met Caroline over a year ago now when I photographed her maternity pictures and it was so lovely to go back and meet the little one. We had such a lovely day and I have so many favorites from the shoot. Here are a few of them

Working with children and animals - so much fun!
I am sure that whoever said not to work with children and animals was wrong. You can't get better subjects. Children are always so much fun to photograph like Mette's beautiful baby. We had such a lovely morning playing and taking pictures in between a number of power naps. Mette also had two amazing cats who just sat and stared at the camera, wonderful subjects for a photograph.

A cold and frosty morning
We have had some bitterly cold mornings recently and most of them have been absolutely stunning. I am all for venturing out in the cold so we wrapped ourselves in hats and gloves and went to the park. It was wonderful. And short lived. It wasn't long before we all ran back to the house freezing cold and ready for biscuits and hot Ribena. We then continued the shoot indoors and it was a wonderful morning, we all had such a lovely time.
Here are a few favorites.

Charlie
Firstly, huge apologies for the lack of posts on the blog recently. The last couple of weeks seem to have flown by in a haze of lemsip and sudafed. I have been rather under the weather with the flu.
Still, things are looking up, my brain no longer feels like it has been replaced by cotton wool and it is half term next week which is always lots of fun with photo shoots every day.
I will be catching up withy my blog backlog from the days before the plague hit. Here is Charlie, one of my favorite little subjects who I always photograph when he is back in the UK on his holidays.
As always, we had a lovely time and it is great to see how he grows up between each visit.
Here are a few favorites from the session
