Family photography in Blackheath

Posted in Kids at 22:05 on 23/03/2010

We had a bit of a family get together this weekend - my niece Emily has just turned two and mum is turning sixty-something tomorrow (Happy Birthday Mum!) so it seemed a good excuse. It was great to catch up with everyone and, of course, I took a few pictures.

The most noticeable thing for me was the realization that while me and my brothers were never, ever, allowed to play on the stairs, grandchildren can get away with everything. Next time mum and dad are out I might just try sliding down the stairs myself, it looks like fun...

Children's portrait albums

Posted in Product Photos at 18:50 on 17/03/2010

I haven't posted any product pictures for a while and so when Miguel's beautiful albums arrived I thought I would take some pictures to share. Albums are one of my favorite ways to show your images and they are incredibly popular with many clients choosing to get an album and mini copies for grandparents in addition to images for the wall. This way you are able to really tell the story of your shoot - capture this moment in your children's lives and present it in a beautiful fashion that will be passed down the generations.

I hope you like the images

Professional PR photography in Cambridge

Posted in Headshots at 14:17 on 17/03/2010

I had the pleasure of meeting Clive last week to take some head shots for him for use on his company website and in newspaper and magazine articles. It was great fun walking around Cambridge with Clive and chatting while we took his photographs. Here are a couple of favorite images, I hope you enjoy them

What's in a name?

Posted in Miscellaneous at 14:19 on 11/03/2010

Unfortunately quite a lot at the moment if you are my friend and fellow photographer David Calvert.

David has just discovered this in light of the recent stories run in the daily papers suggesting that Jon Venables (who was convicted of murdering James Bulger) was going by the name of David Calvert. Since then Davids photography site has had over 50,000 hits. Normally wed be thrilled that his site is so popular, but at the moment he is obviously very concerned.

As his colleagues we are doing all we can to help David disassociate himself from this dreadful story.

David, 46, is a national award winning photographer and his business David Calvert Photography, based in Hertfordshire, specialises in family and child portraiture. David has our complete support in these difficult circumstances and we hope very much that they pass without impact to him, his own family or his business.
