Today I passed my associateship of the Master Photographers Association and the British Institute of Professional Photographers. I am really pleased.
The associateship is 'awarded upon the submission of photographic work and in recognition that the photographer has shown excellence in technique, lighting and composition. The candidate must show creativity and an understanding in the art of professional photography.' (From the MPA website)
Here is my panel, I hope you enjoy it.
I had a great time with Zoe around Blackheath and Greenwich finding interesting backgrounds and making the most of the wonderful morning light. Headshots are so much fun because I get to make magic from the mundane, it is amazing what makes a good textured background - trees, fences, walls, bus stops, skips and my personal favorite:- garage doors. I hope you like the pictures
I had a great time photographing Stella's family, it is always nice to work with older children. When I arrived it was raining and so we started off with some things indoors including some headshots of everyone which worked out really well. Then we went out for a stroll around the lake and found some wonderful barns and an old rusty shed to work with which was great and resulted in some fantastic images. Here are some favorites, I hope you like them...
I have been meaning to put this on the blog for ages but I only got around to scanning the magazine today. For those of you who live in Cambridge and don't know this publication do look out for it. It is a pure listings magazine with lots of local information from gym clubs and swimming to schools and, of course, photographers.
Here is the cover and a few other favorites from the session
