Bank Holiday Fun
I hope everyone has had a lovely bank holiday, Tom and I certainly did.
For what promises to be the only weekend off we have together over the summer (putting a portrait photographer and a wedding photographer together is terrible for your social life!), we spent a wonderful few days catching-up with friends, bimbling around the house doing random chores (it's only taken a year since moving in to paint those shelves), making mango chutney (okay, so that hasn't been put off for a year but we ran out of the last batch) and bottling our first batch of home brew. Lovely.
On Monday we got together with our good friends Lucy and Jerome and their son Ben, and headed off to Thetford for some mountain biking. Both Tom and I forgot to take a camera but I did take a couple of snaps when we got home in the evening. So here are a few pictures of Ben enjoying the playground behind the house in that all important twenty minute slot between turning the roast lamb down and adding the potatoes.
Bank holidays rock!

Family photography in Surrey
I have been really enjoying the recent sunny weather - the first sunny days of Spring are always great, not only keeping everyone warm but raising everyone's spirits too. I was thrilled to see Henrietta and Adam to take some new family photographs, one of our regular twice-yearly portrait sessions. You may recognise Poppy and Edward from their growing-up feature gallery - they are growing-up so fast, and it is so lovely for me to record their childhood and be part of their lives.
Here are a few favorites:

Family photography in Cambridge
It is a rare treat to have a family portrait session close to home in Cambridge, so I was thrilled when I realised I could walk to visit Karena and her family for our photo shoot.
We spent a lovely morning together in the local playground and then visited one of the beautiful Fellows' Gardens in Cambridge, what a treat!
Here are a few favorite pictures from the morning, I hope you like them as much as I do.

Children's photography in Chiswick
The weather was threatening when I met Louise and her family for some family photographs in Chiswick, so our portrait session was a bit of a race against time before the weather broke. We headed out to Chiswick House for some pictures before the rain started (and even a few once it started raining cats and dogs). Then off home to dry everyone out, have a cup of tea and some more pictures in the warm and dry.
We had a really fun morning together, and here are some of my favorites...

Birth announcement cards
Regular readers will remember Carol-Anne's maternity and newborn baby photo shoots in January and February. I thought I would share some pictures of the birth announcement cards we printed for Carol-Anne. The cards look beautiful, and we're absolutely thrilled with them.
