portrait session in Cambridge

Posted in Adults at 20:18 on 29/05/2009

I spent the most wonderful morning photographing Jenny in Cambridge recently. It was so much fun, we had wonderful weather and Jenny was a complete natural in front of the camera, she looked amazing. The pictures will speak louder than words, here are some of my favorites, I am sure you will see what I mean

A morning of photography

Posted in Kids at 09:28 on 27/05/2009

It is always fun when my photoshoots seem to break themselves up into a number of mini sessions over the course of a morning. Much like the way we play on a usual day. For this shoot we started indoors (looking at the rain through the window) and played a few games. Then as the day brightened up it was off to the park to fly a kite and play on the swings. When we began to get tired it was back home and then, the amazing light in the bathroom caught my attention, and so we ran a big bubble bath for some more shots. I think the bathtime shots are my favorites from the session but there is some great stuff from earlier in the morning too. Here are some that caught my eye

Children's portraits in Cambridgeshire

Posted in Kids at 12:31 on 21/05/2009

Firstly apologies that the blog has been quite quiet this last week or so, things are incredibly busy here with lots of shoots and also preparing for the next seminars and for my new summer newsletter. I shall make sure I catch up with my posting in the next few days so look out for lots of new images.

This shoot was fantastic, I was photographing Phillippa and her lovely son. Phillippa runs TinyTalk South-East Cambridgeshire

which is a baby signing class and it was so interesting to hear how it is possible to teach young children to communicate before they can talk. For any of you in the South East Cambridgeshire area do give Phillippa a call or visit the website to find out more.

Our shoot started at home as it was pouring with rain when I arrived. We had a lovely time playing in the warm. Then as the rain slowed to a drizzle we jumped in the car and headed out to play.

We went to the woods and then to the children's playground where George discovered the nets which were definitely the favorite activity of the day. It was great.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

Family photography with Jackie

Posted in Kids at 16:56 on 13/05/2009

I spent a wonderful morning with Jackie and her family at the park. It was great to be out and about on a beautiful spring day and we had such a great time playing, hunting for squirrels and looking for fish in the japanese lake.

Here are some of my favorite shots from the session

Canvas prints

Posted in Product Photos at 09:50 on 12/05/2009

I keep meaning to take more photographs of the actual products so I can build up a library of product photos here on the blog. With that in mind I took some pictures of Trevor's and Helen's canvas prints before they picked them up last week. Canvas prints look fantastic, they are such a lovely product and because the entire size of the artwork is picture - rather than picture, mount and frame - you get a lot of impact for their size. Canvas prints look great hung together to build up a larger piece of art and you can mix and match over the years swapping some pictures in and others out. I love them.
