A reminder for everyone about our upcoming seminars in Glasgow next month.
I will be talking at the Glasgow Calumet store on Wednesday 7th October and Tom will be speaking the following day, Thursday 8th October.
This is the same seminar that I have been giving at other venues around the country this year and the feedback has been phenomenal, to quote a few:
'I found it very inspiring'
'I thank you for an excellent seminar that you held in Manchester.I found it very informative, and you as a person very interesting and very entertaining'
'I really did enjoy the seminar at Manchester. It was very well structured and your humorous delivery got the points across in just the right way to keep everyone engaged. The photography was, as always, stunning. Delivered in a thoroughly professional manner and the music choices were great too. The last one actually brought a lump to my throat!'
'Thank you so much for the terrific seminar yesterday,it was lovely to meet the person behind those fab images'
'Just wanted to say thank you for an inspirational day on Tuesday in Belfast. Your vision is really unique.'
The seminars cover a huge amount of ground and are really packed with information. Among other subjects I cover
*Developing a signature style
*Ways to improve your photography
*Working with available light
*Working indoors on location
*Family and sibling shots
*Working with different ages
*Case studies for working in a family home and in a public park
The seminars would suit both professionals and also keen amaturs who want to be able to take better photographs of their family and friends.

Tom will also be running his seminar on
Post-production for portrait and wedding photographers
Digital capture has given photographers an enormous amount of creative control over their work, but this means that taking great pictures is only the first step towards delivering fantastic results.
Tom will be presenting a seminar that will teach you the post-production skills you need to finish your portrait & wedding photographs to a professional standard. The course will explore:
Practical techniques that will bring the best out of your images.
Building these skills into an efficient workflow that supports your photographic style and makes the most of your time.
The seminar includes:
A catch-up session to bring your Photoshop skills up to speed.
Realising the potential of RAW files.
Producing great black & whites from digital images.
Practical retouching techniques.
Using special effects to polish your images.
Taking control of your workflow.
Everyone attending the seminar will also receive a disc containing details of the techniques demonstrated, sample files and the Photoshop Actions used during the course.

We do hope to see lots of you at the seminars, hopefully at both and do join us for a bite to eat and a beer in the evening if you are not rushing off.
Still on blog catch-up today. At this rate I will have finished blogging the summer in time for Christmas.
I first met Jude last summer when she was staying in London for a month. I was really pleased therefore to get a call in August to say that the family were in London again for the holidays and would like to do another shoot. We met in Kensington for our portrait photography session and spent the morning in the park. It was a beautiful day and Jude was an absolute joy to photograph, so much fun.
I always aim to capture the what life is like for my clients. The things that the children like to do - where they like to play - those favorite games and activities. It is always particularly good fun when I get to go to cool locations such as this farm outside Saffron Walden for some lifestyle shots. We had a great time, the light was overcast and perfect for shooting in the wood - one of my favorite types of shoot.
Here are a few pictures..
Still on the blog backlog this week with a wonderful baby portriat shoot that I did in Kensington recently. We spent a wonderful morning photographing in the flat and down in the communal gardens.
Here are a few favorites
Continuing with the blog backlog here is another recent shoot. Another beautiful day and we were at the park having a wonderful time. Pre-empting this weeks autumnal weather we found some of this years conkers already on the ground but not yet brown. The shells were good for sailing on the pond though, I do love the random activities of my photo shoots....
