The Image

I believe a portrait headshot should reflect who you are. Whether it is for your spotlight entry, for business use or to illustrate your writing in a magazine or newspaper, the aim is the same: to show you at your very best.

I feel for you to be truly happy with your headshot it must look like you. A simple image is a strong image. My aim is to get the very best photograph of you as you are, whoever you are and whatever you look like. By shooting solely in natural light and without the services of professional stylists and make up artists you are able to show your pictures and stand proud saying ‘This is me. This is what I look like and how I am’

Location and Timing

My sessions take place outside, tend to last an hour and a half and often involve a short walk. I am happy to work anywhere in central London and I particularly love shooting in new places. Together we will explore the area looking for the best light and backgrounds and utilising what we find, whether it is a tree covered in blossom, a brick wall or a garage door. Everything can be used to produce unique and personal headshots. Each and every shoot the backgrounds and the light will be different and you can be sure that you will never see another headshot that looks the same as yours. This is important as it helps you to stand out from the crowd and make the image making process so much fun. It is this enjoyment and excitement than makes photographing headshots so much fun and results in great images. 

Because I like to spend time on my shoots you will have time to relax. During the hour I will be able to find out a bit about you, what you are doing and where you are going. We will have fun, I love shooting headshots as I always have such a fantastic time. That we are enjoying ourselves is reflected in the pictures. A nervous look in the first five minutes of the session will be transformed to a genuine grin by the end. As I get to know you I am able to bring your personality out into the pictures resulting in portraits that really reflect who you are. 

Pictures, Prices and Presentation

I take a lot of pictures so I am able to narrow them down and present you with approximately thirty shots to choose from. These are presented on a web gallery that you can share with family, business colleagues or your agent. From these you can choose as many images as you like depending on your individual needs.

Sessions for publicity headshots start at £185 which includes the session, three digital files for your own printing and a web gallery of images. Additional files can be purchased at £50 each and a set of printed contact sheets can be bought for £40 should you wish to have a full printed record. For those who need full length portfolio shots as well as their headshot the session price is £235 to reflect the additional time spent on the session.
