Welcome to Helen Bartlett Photography, where we offer the very best in children’s photographic portraiture.
My photo shoots are fun, which means that I am able to produce relaxed and natural pictures of you and your family. We work on location at your home or a nearby place that you enjoy visiting as a family, and I incorporate all these elements into your pictures to ensure your images are unique to you. All our pictures are taken in black and white to ensure that your images are timeless, and will look as good in fifty years’ time as they do today.
With an instantly recognisable visual style based on the creative use of natural light and the surrounding environment, I am a recognised leader in the field of children’s portraiture. Based in Crouch End in North London, I am available for photo shoots in London and throughout the UK.
Each and every shoot is important to us and we invest our time, skill and experience into ensuring that we create the best possible images. Our commitment to making your experience effortless and enjoyable continues after the photo shoot itself; we have a dedicated Studio Manager, Kate, who will visit you at home at a convenient time to show you your images and advise you on the various display options available.
We take great pride in our printing and framing, offering you the finest albums, beautiful fine art prints, and contemporary display pieces such as acrylic and aluminium-mounted prints. More information about the various options is available on the prices and products page.
On the blog today I’m pleased to share a very graphic image from a recent baby and family photography session in Walton on Thames in Surrey. I’m always looking or new approaches to my photography, spending time looking for creative compositions and images that transcend the norms of the genre. I love how this image uses the architecture of the house and the wonderful directional light to produce a picture that is visually interesting and also so full of the personality of baby Theo, a wonderful little boy and so much fun to photograph.
