Children's photography in London and Cambridge
The aim of my work is to photograph your children in their own environment. I want to reflect who they are, and show them enjoying their favourite activities in their favourite places.
What to expect from your portrait session
We start after breakfast and play all morning. We have few time constraints, so the children are able to relax and let their true personalities shine through. I often find that over the course of a morning we will get lots of different moods - from boisterous games and giggling over-excitement, to calm tranquil moments and snuggling with mum and dad on the sofa with a book. It is lovely to capture all these moods - to get a fully rounded picture of who they are.
I hope that when you and your children look back on these pictures you will remember the fun of licking the chocolate off the spoon when baking biscuits, playing chess, painting pictures, and how 'totally hidden' you can be under a blanket. Outside, the never-ending days of the long summer holidays, running around on the beach, dens in the garden; or the cold winters wrapped-up kicking leaves, building snowmen and splashing in puddles. It is these details that I love to record.
What happens after your portrait session
I want you to enjoy your photographs. To help you have the best photographs in the best format as quickly as possible, one of the Helen Bartlett Photography team will contact you soon after your portrait shoot to arrange a viewing session, either in Cambridge or at your home. The aim of this session is to show you what is possible with your photographs. You will be able to see the pictures on our large screen and look at an album design, ideas for multi-aperture frames and canvases. You can order at the viewing sessions, and there is a ten percent discount should you wish to place your order at this time. Alternatively you may order your photographs via email or post within four weeks of your viewing.
Our aim is to make everything as easy as possible - relaxed, fun photo shoots that record your family in a way that will hold real memories for you and your children, and then years of enjoyment from your photographs.
