Your baby's first year is an amazing time, full of changes and with many different opportunities for photographs. Whether you choose to mark all the milestones – newborn, five months, eight months and first birthday - or just one, I will ensure that you have pictures that you will treasure forever, capturing your family in a beautifully artistic fashion. These photographs will be works of art that your children will be proud to have still hanging in the house when they are teenagers.
Relaxed portrait sessions that work around your baby's routine
I understand that your baby has a routine and I will work around that, making sure that your baby feels comfortable throughout the day and that we have a relaxed and happy time. I arrive nice and early, usually around 8am, so we have time for pictures before your baby's mid-morning nap, and then we usually have a second session after your baby wakes. This approach works really well as it fits around your baby's routine and we aren't pushing on, trying to take pictures when your baby is tired - instead, we'll let your baby sleep and then have a wide-awake, happy baby to photograph.
Photography on-location in your own home or favourite place
If the weather allows, I'll often do part of the shoot indoors and part outdoors as this will give you the best variety of images from your photo shoot. It also ensures that you have images that will remind you of all the different activities you do together at this special time in your family's lives - from walking in your local park to playing with your baby's favourite toys while they roll and snuggle on your bed.
Capturing memories of childhood
It's a real pleasure to photograph babies and we are always happy to advise on the best time for you and your family to have your pictures taken. My aim is to make everything as easy as possible - relaxed, fun portrait sessions that record the new addition to your family in a way that will hold real memories for you and your children, and then give you years of enjoyment from your photographs.
