I love photographing happy, little babies so much – it makes for such a wonderful morning, and I was thrilled to spend such a morning with Belen and her beautiful family in Greenwich in South London.
We started bright and early so that we could work around baby Henry’s nap routine – I always find that first thing works best for children’s portraits. We headed out to Greenwich Park to take some photographs before it got busy – this is particularly important now as so much of the park is covered in the wonderful looking equestrian arena for the forthcoming Olympics.
We captured some family portraits with the beautiful park background and then, via an all important cup of tea, into the Maritime Museum to take advantage of the wonderful, dramatic surroundings of the colonnades, a perfect spot for family photographs.
We then returned home for some indoor photographs – it’s always my preference to also take some shots indoors on a baby shoot, as they have such a different feel to the outdoor pictures and variety is the spice of life.
I’m thrilled with the shots and hope you will agree that this is a lovely selection of baby and family portrait photographs from Greenwich in South London.
