Baby photography in the Isle of Dogs, South London

07Feb

I travelled to the Isle of Dogs for today’s photo shoot in one of the new developments near Blackwall. I grew up in South East London and can remember the controversy when Canary Wharf was built – it’s amazing how much that area has changed, and definitely for the better! I was thrilled to be heading in that direction to capture some baby and family photographs for Qin and her family.

As always with baby portrait sessions, I arrived nice and early so that we had plenty of time for pictures and no pressures of time if we need to break for baby Jayden’s nap at any point. Jayden was an absolute joy and a real pleasure to photograph – one year is such a lovely age and our photoshoot took place the day before his birthday.

We started indoors for some lovely snuggly baby shots while Jayden rolled around on the bed and played with his parents and some of his favorite toys. It was great fun and we had some lovely light in the flat.

Once we had captured lots of great pictures indoors, we donned hats, scarves and all manner of warm clothing and headed outdoors to take some pictures around the Isle of Dogs development overlooking the Thames. Jayden’s favorite water feature made for some lovely angles in a shot and I was pleased to feature the O2 arena in the background of a few pictures.

It was a really good fun shoot and I love this series of shots. I hope you will enjoy these baby and family pictures taken on the Isle of Dogs in London.
