Creative children and family portrait photography in Kensington, London W11

28Oct

It was a fabulous morning in Kensington Gardens in Central London and at Emma’s stunning Kensington home in W11 that was the order of the day for our children’s and family photography session this year. We’ve been arranging an annual autumn session with Emma for three years now and it’s a session I always really look forward to. It’s the best thing about being a children’s and family photographer – returning to clients year-after-year to capture a wonderful document of their children’s early lives.

Rosalind and Hannah are always an absolute joy to photograph and this year’s family photoshoot in Kensington was no exception. They are such lively girls, so full of fun and personality.

We headed out after breakfast to make the most of the dry weather and the soft early morning light, as well as the empty park with plenty of space to run around without lots of other people in the background of our pictures. Early morning in the park is such a lovely time, so peaceful with just the odd family out and about keeping the runners and dog walkers company.

We had a great time playing in the trees, hide and seek, shops (with some great leaves and twigs for sale), it was such good fun. The shot of Hannah sitting in the hole in the tree being Winnie the Pooh is a particular favorite, I just love her expression.

When the playground opened, we headed there for a bit of an explore and some music making. It’s a wonderful playground in Kensington Gardens and great for some relaxed and natural children’s portrait photography before it gets busy as the day progresses. The girls loved it and I love these pictures of them having fun together as they played.

Then it was time to go home and have a snack – it’s tiring work being photographed, drinks and biscuits all round – and then some more family photography in Emma’s beautiful Kensington home in London W11. We were joined by the children’s nanny Ginny for some pictures too, which was great fun – its lovely to see how much the children enjoy her company and they were enjoying themselves so much reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with her. I love utilising interesting angles in my creative children’s portrait photographs as everyone plays at home, it’s so much fun.

It was a wonderful morning, I had such a lovely time and I am thrilled with our children and family portrait photos taken on location in Kensington in Central London W11. I do hope you will enjoy this selection.
