There is nothing better than having a brief of 'be creative' and so I was thrilled to hear from Helen, who I first met a few years ago when we both lived in Cambridge, to arrange some portrait photographs with this exact brief.
I always try to do something a little bit different with my photography - I want to stretch myself and provide my clients with really interesting, individual images that won't look like identikit portrait photographs that can be bought from any studio up-and-down the country. I really want to show my client's personality and produce something really special and unique for them.
Helen is amazing fun to work with - full of ideas, and with a great knowledge of art and photography - and also fabulous fun to chat to. We explored the V&A museum in Kensington together, which provided a fantastic location for the shoot. We had a great time taking these pictures and I hope you will enjoy something a little bit different from today's blog post.

For a South Londoner (and soon to be a North Londoner), I spend an awful lot of my time in West London, particularly in the area of Holland Park taking children, baby and family photographs. It is such a beautiful part of London and full of wonderful locations for baby, children and family pictures.
I was thrilled to be asked by Andrea to visit her home in Holland Park to photograph her two wonderful sons, and also capture some family photographs.
We were lucky to have a truly fabulous autumnal morning for our photo shoot and so we headed out to Holland Park to start our morning of children's portrait photographs. We explored some of the boys favourite bits of the park - including the playground, of course - and some of the wooded areas. It was a magical setting with the low autumn sun, perfect conditions for children's portrait photography.
After enjoying the park for a couple of hours, we headed home for a cup of tea and some more pictures, particularly of baby Theo who was one of the most cheerful babies I have been lucky enough to photograph.
I am absolutely thrilled with this set of children, family and baby photographs from Holland Park in West London and I hope you will enjoy them too. If you would like me to visit and capture some pictures of your family, please get in touch - it would be great to hear from you.

It was my ninth shoot with Joanna and her beautiful children in Kensington recently. It seems crazy to me that when I first met the family, Julian was only days old - time certainly has flown, look at him now!
We had a wonderful time taking pictures of the children both in the garden at home and at a local park in Kensington. The children are always such fun to be around and to chat to, and have such amazing tales to tell - Alex showing me the footage of him cliff jumping on holiday left me spellbound!
I hope you enjoy this set of children's portrait photographs taken in Kensington in London, I can't wait to go back next year!
If you would like me to visit and capture some pictures of your own children, please get in touch with us here

Today's blog post comes from my children's and family portrait photography session with Richard, Nicola and their beautiful children in Fulham in London. It's always such a treat to visit a family year-after-year and see the children grow up and their personalities develop. These two are such fun little characters.
It was a beautiful autumnal morning - cold and crisp, and wonderfully bright. We were on a tight schedule as the children had to be at a party at lunchtime so we were in the park and shooting away before 8am! It's such a wonderful time to be out and about - the world seems so clean and new at that time of day, and the parks are empty save for the odd dog walker and jogger. Perfect!
We had a great time at Bishop's Park in Fulham, which is a wonderful spot for children and family portrait photographs. We ran around, found sticks, looked at the ducks, played in the playground, chased bubbles and did some balancing to name just a few things. It was a fabulous morning and I am thrilled with the pictures.
I hope you enjoy looking at this selection of children and family portrait photographs from Bishop's Park in Fulham, London. If you would like me to capture some pictures of your own family, please contact me - I would be delighted to hear from you.

I have done an awful lot of traveling around the UK this summer capturing photographs on families enjoying their holidays. I always enjoy getting out of London and so I was thrilled when my regular clients, Mairi and Ramesh, called to ask if I would join them on holiday in the New Forest to take some photographs of their gorgeous children.
It was an early start, but I arrived in the New Forest feeling really excited to be taking children and family photographs in such a beautiful part of the UK. The light was just lovely and after copious quantites of coffee, we headed out to explore.
We spent an amazing day together, den-building in the woods and then playing in the most wonderful stream - I honestly couldn't have come up with a more idylic location if I had been dreaming. It was just beautiful and my boots held up well too, keeping my feet dry while I waded knee-deep in the stream.
A fabulous day was had by all and I am thrilled with the pictures. I hope you enjoy this set of images from a family holiday portrait shoot in the New Forest.
