Keeping clean with Adam and Piers

Posted in Kids at 16:02 on 26/11/2007

I have been lucky enough to meet Adam and Piers many times over the years at various birthday parties and so I was delighted to be asked to visit them at home for a photoshoot of their own. It was a beautiful day - lovely low sun and a frosty garden so we headed outside to play. When we got back into the house I had a quick look around to work out the best places to shoot and came across the upstairs bathroom - the 'loo with a view' with the most amazing glass wall looking across the valley and a free standing bath. I couldn't resist and suggested that we fill it with bubbles and take some pictures and I am so glad we did. The boys were thrilled by this mid-morning washing and we had a wonderful time. Here are a few favorites

beautiful morning light

Posted in Kids at 20:30 on 22/11/2007

The only problem with the wonderful morning light is that it can be bitterly cold. These great children braved cold noses and chilly fingers to get out while the frost was still on the ground and it was really worth it - such a beautiful day. In the end it got too much and we retreated for some indoor activities but it is those early pictures with the sun streaming down that I love the most, especially the family shot, a personal favorite

My mum

Posted in Adults at 12:41 on 22/11/2007

I got a new lens this morning so dragged my long suffering and wonderful mother outside so I could shoot off a few frames to check that it worked. So here is my mum, I hope you like it. I have stuck a copy on the fridge

giggles and puddles at the park

Posted in Kids at 19:43 on 21/11/2007

I spent a lovely morning at the park today with Myles and Tilly, a couple of my favorite subjects who I see each year for their Christmas card shoot. I am absolutely loving the giggling shots on the step and the collapse on the cushions when we got back home, tiring things photoshoots! still, you can always hide in a basket....

A wet and windy day with the Brennan family

Posted in Kids at 21:23 on 20/11/2007

I spent a wonderful sunday morning with the Brennans recently. The weather wasn't kind to us at the beginning of the morning and after going outside to play we quickly had to abandon our plan and move back inside drying off the children and the camera as best we could. A happy hour spent inside and the weather began to clear up so we donned our boots and went back out to play. What a great way to spend a morning.

I have so many pictures I love from the shoot it is hard to just choose a few - I hope you like them as much as I do
