My Talk at the Societies of Photographers Convention
Suddenly March is upon us and the countdown is on for the Societies of Photographers annual convention 2022. This will be a particularly exciting year as it was postponed in 2021 because of the pandemic and so it will be one of the first opportunities for the industry to come together since Covid.
Taking Place at the Novotel London West in Hammersmith from 16th-19th March (with the trade show from 17th-19thMarch) there will be a packed schedule of brilliant talks alongside the opportunity to network with other photographers and see our friends in the trade. We will be able to catch up with our labs and see their new offerings, peruse the new Cameras from the big brands, and look at wonderful images exhibited from the annual print competition.
My colleagues at Canon will be offering free workshops for photographers new to their wonderful mirrorless R5 and R6 cameras. These will be brilliant and packed full of useful information.
I will be giving a talk on Thursday 17th March at 2.30pm on the Business of Family Photography. I’ll be discussing how my business is set up and offering insights into structures and workflows as well as pricing and sales. We’ll look at the importance of pictures, and the importance of pensions, and there will be something for everyone from those with fledgling businesses to established pros. With plenty of time for discussion at the end it will be a great opportunity to make plans to take your business to the next level this year.
Free tickets for the trade show are available on the Societies website and you can also buy tickets for the different talks, including mine, which requires a masterclass ticket.
I hope to see you there.
