Helen is genuinely excellent at her job. Her photographs are exceptional; she works powerful magic with light and shade and focus and turns the everyday into art. I really can’t say enough nice things about her talent as a photographer. She is also tremendous fun; my kids, initially suspicious, warmed up in minutes and came to view her as a fellow traveller in their sea of chaos. I have such happy memories of our day (despite the grey skies and constant drizzle) and then there are the astonishingly beautiful pictures Helen took which sit on my walls and about which everyone asks.

Helen has been photographing my family since my daugther was one month old nearly 18 years ago. Having her document how our family has grown and changed over that time is the best decision we’ve ever made. Helen’s idea to having a yearly shoot in favourite locations means that not only do we have a document of how the children have grown but also of the places that have special meaning to us. Helen has come with us to various locations in London and beyond and she’s now as much a friend of the family as a photographer documenting our lives. Having 18 years worth of photographs also means that I can unequivocally state that her photograpy does not age at all. Every shot is beautiful and even our fussy, selfconscious teenagers are happy with them – no small feat! Wholeheartedly recommend!

Helen’s work is brilliant! She spent all morning with us (and our brand of chaos) capturing the most gorgeous photos of our 8 month old, our dog, my husband and me. The photographs look timeless whilst also spontaneous and expertly capture our personalities. Aside from the amazing end product, it was also a genuine pleasure to spend the morning with Helen – she eased right into our schedule and made the whole process feel natural. I am in no doubt that Helen is amongst the best family and children photographer in the U.K. and globally. She is technically brilliant and has the ability of capturing the bonding and warmth of a family in both indoor and outdoor settings. She is incredibly experienced in working with young babies and children. One example is that she chose to sit at the front next to me in the car when we were driving to a park shoot instead of next to my young daughter. She knew that some children may find sitting with someone new upsetting. She is extremely professional and dedicated, her love in her work really shows through in her photos and in the way she works.
We have made it an annual treat to get a shoot in with Helen and I know that the albums will be cherished for years to come.

We have had two sessions with Helen now. She is absolutely fantastic – expert in her field of family photography and a lovely person to work with: clear and organised before and after the shoots, and superb on the days of the shoot.
