Small Children and Giant Bubbles – Just One

23Jan

It was my birthday at the weekend and so I took the day off to spend doing what I love most – hanging out with my family and taking pictures. We managed to get almost everyone together for a fantastic lunch at my cousin’s house and in the afternoon, in the failing light (after spending rather too long over a truly delicious feast) we played in the garden and I took a few pictures. It’s my favourite thing in the world, to photograph the people that I love.

I had bought some bubble wands from my friend Will’s fantastic company Bubble Inc where he works as the worlds tallest bubbleologist (could that be the coolest job title ever?) as I thought they would be a great way to spend a bit of time and were guaranteed to keep the company entertained, from five to seventy five years old. And keep us entertained they did.

I haven’t had time to process the pictures yet, my personal photographs always end up at the bottom of the to-do list, but this one caught my eye and I thought I would share it on here. I love everything about it, the expression, the low winter light and that incredible bubble, so many times bigger than my tiny niece. I hope you like it too.
