Featured portrait shoots
In this section of the website, you can explore some feature galleries which show a wider selection of pictures from my shoots, giving you a sense of the type and variety of pictures you can expect. Our three growing-up galleries show families that have been photographed a number of times over the years, and how regular photo shoots provide you and your family with an incredible document of your lives.
In addition, the portfolio section gives you a wonderful overview of my work and you can see the types of images that I love; pictures that tell stories, capture emotions, and that use the wider world to create timeless images that will hold memories for you and your family.
The Photoblog shows a smaller selection of pictures from each shoot and you can see the high quality work that we produce - week in, week out - and the huge variety of images you can expect from your portrait session.
These growing-up galleries are the best way to get a sense of what I aim to achieve with my work – they show the way that I work with families year-after-year to record their lives, their laughter and their love.
This gallery, featuring pictures of Poppy’s very first days until the present day, shows so many different things – pivotal moments from baby steps to the confident and charming little girl Poppy has become along with her lovely, funny and wonderful little brother. I hope you enjoy the gallery.
These extended selections of pictures are the hallmark of my work – I am lucky that the majority of my clients return for regular photo shoots, and so it’s lovely to be able to show you how these pictures fit together year-on-year to provide a wonderful story of each family.
One of the lovely things about photographing in black and white, and the timeless nature of my photography, is how pictures fit seamlessly together to provide an elegant set of images. Many of my clients choose to purchase albums from their shoots and it’s such a lovely thing to visit the house and see the albums out and being looked at, or lined-up next to each other on a shelf. Stella loves looking at her family albums – there’s even a shot in this gallery showing Stella looking at one of her favourites.
I have to admit that I was incredibly proud at that moment, seeing the joy on Stella's face as she relived the day out with her parents. Capturing a memory in pictures – that is what photography is all about, and why I love my work.
This third gallery of pictures over the years captures many lovely moments from the childhoods of Juan-Pablo and his twin sister Anna, two of the most beautiful and fun children I am lucky enough to photograph.
We see each other every autumn for our photo shoot in and around London, varying our location from year-to-year to ensure that we capture a really varied selection of pictures. Olga, the children’s mother, loves photography and it’s always such fun to make sure I get pictures that 'wow' her year-on-year as the children get older.
I look forward to our shoots all year and I do hope you enjoy this selection of highlights from our annual family shoots.
This gallery shows an extended selection of pictures from my morning in Kent with Sarah and her two wonderful children, Flynn and Brogan. We had a great morning at the park exploring the trees and looking at all the different wildlife from squirrels to ducks, and even a very friendly cat.
Do take a look through this selection of pictures to get an idea of the sort of images I take on my sessions, and also the variety of high-quality images I present to my clients. From every photo shoot, we want all the images to be interesting, varied and of a very high quality – images that you will love and want do display in your home.
This feature gallery shows baby Daisy who was photographed when she was almost a year old, which is one of my favourite ages for photographing children. It’s a lovely age that works so well for clients who choose to start their family photography when their baby is a newborn, and then continue with annual shoots thereafter.
I love how, at this age, children are still very much a baby but just moving into those exciting toddler years, perhaps just starting to walk and moving around at a crawl, so inquisitive and so much fun to photograph.
This shoot is divided into two halves, which tends to be the case with baby photography – pre mid-morning nap, and post nap. We spent the first part of the morning at home as it was raining when I arrived and then, after Daisy’s nap when the rain had begun to dissipate, we went out and about to explore some of the family’s favourite places. This is the only shoot I’ve done so far where we watched sheep shearing in central London, I do love my work!
This gallery features a larger family group with four wonderful children and their parents out and about at Oxleas Woods in Greenwich. We had an amazing day taking pictures and I have chosen to include this gallery as I really feel it captures everything I aim to achieve in my family shoots – it has a really wide variety of pictures, from running around playing football and forty-forty home, to individual portraits, group shots and then some pictures at home with the children and their musical instruments.
It also includes one of my all-time favourite shots – the ‘Couch Olympics’, as I call it. It's that moment that you instinctively click the shutter just at point when a child does something naughty, wonderful and brilliantly photogenic! I hope you’re able to spot it as you look through the gallery, and enjoy the other great pictures from this shoot.
This feature gallery shows a larger selection of pictures from a newborn photography session with baby Caleb, enabling you to get a really good feel for my approach to this popular age for children’s photography.
I aim to take really lovely, natural pictures of you and your newborn baby – pictures that focus on your relationship with your baby and all the tiny details that make your baby so special; those eyes looking up at you, the tiny hand holding tight to your finger.
We don’t use props in our newborn photography sessions, instead choosing to focus on the important things that make your family unique and photographing in your home so that the images will have a real resonance to you as your baby grows.
This feature gallery gives an insight to my approach to Christening and Baptism photography.
Christening photography is increasingly popular as it’s a wonderful opportunity for pictures when all your friends and family are gathered to welcome your child into the world. I will combine my expertise as a family photographer with my experience as a wedding photographer to ensure that you have the finest christening photography that spans the genres – from beautiful family and individual portraits, to reportage shots of the big event and your reception afterwards.
If you're interested in arranging for me to photograph your son or daughter’s christening, please take a look at this feature gallery to gain an insight into my approach.
