Family photography with older children

It’s sixteen years and eleven photo shoots since I first met this wonderful family. It’s been a joy photographing them over the years and seeing the babies I first met grow into incredible young people – intelligent, articulate and fun to be around.  While we had one family member missing for this photo shoot as they were abroad at the time, it was brilliant to catch up with everyone else, to hear the family news and find out everyone’s plans for the future.

Meeting teenagers regularly through my work I’m so impressed with how together the young people who I photograph are – they seem to work hard, play hard, and have plans worked out for where they want to go and how they want to get there. It’s inspiring – with these children in charge we’ll be in good hands in the future.

For this photo shoot we started at home utilising the stunning architecture for some creative photography and then headed out to beautiful Kew Gardens arriving at opening time to take our pictures before the crowds arrived. Finding secluded spots we were able to create some beautiful family photographs.

It was a really fun photo shoot and I’m thrilled with the results, I hope you enjoy this sneak preview I’ve shared today.
