A Brilliant Day of East London Family Photography

Today I’m sharing a sneak preview from a recent day east London family photography. Working as a family photographer in London since 2003 I’m lucky enough to explore all the different corners of this wonderful city and it’s always such a pleasure to be invited to East London to photograph babies, children, and families.  This brilliant photo shoot was such great fun, a fabulous morning full of adventure and laughter at Victoria Park, and in the family’s stunning East London home.  Today I’m sharing a sneak preview for the family but also, I hope that if you are thinking of getting some baby or family photographs of your own, that this will give you an indication of the style and variety of images you could expect from your own East London family photography session.

Child Led Family Photo Shoots in East London

My family photo shoots are child led and so, as well as ensuring we get some stunning family shots and pictures of the children together, the sessions themselves are very relaxed.  We go with the flow and do the things that your children love to do in the places they love to do them.  On this East London family photography session, we headed to nearby Victoria Park which is such a brilliant location. Arriving bright and early there was nobody about and we had the playground to ourselves for some pictures while the baby had a sleep.

Then we found a quiet corner for a play. This works so well, looking to find that perfect combination of light and background and then settling to play some games, run around and just be together. The kids had such fun chasing their parents and being swung round, I love how fearless young children are enjoying the sense of danger while knowing they are completely safe in their parent’s hands.  These relaxed family photographs are the perfect way to record your family memories in East London.

Family Photo Shoots are Full of Adventures

Then we headed off to explore some more. Via a desert island (fallen tree), and countless other adventures, we made our way to the stunning Chinese pavilion, one of the most iconic structures in Victoria Park and such a lovely place for some family photos. It’s a great spot to sit and relax and also an amazing place to play hide and seek, of course we did both, as when working with children we never sit still for long.

Baby Portraits at Home

When the children got tired at the end of the morning, we headed back to their stunning East London home to take some additional portraits of the baby indoors.  As the little one wasn’t old enough to sit up on their own, they had been held for the pictures outdoors.  I thought it would be lovely to get a few shots of them on their own, giggling happily on their parents’ bed. Often an extra half an hour at the end of the session can add such a lot of variety to the images if we are in a different location. Indoor and outdoor pictures have a different vibe and it’s lovely to get both as part of your family photography session. My job, as a baby and family photographer, is to create the best set of stunning and varied images for my clients and I love the challenge of doing so.

This session was a joy from start to finish and I can’t wait to see this wonderful family again in the future. In the meantime, I hope this sneak preview of this east London family photography session will bring lots of joy and, if you are thinking of booking your own baby or family photo shoot in East London or elsewhere in our wonderful capital city then do get in touch.
